Setup guide

Setting up multiple locations

If you already run more than one branch — or you're about to — this is everything you need to add a location, see every branch from one screen, and get customers routed to the right one, all inside your existing ZiroWait dashboard. No separate product, no extra setup outside the dashboard you already use.

Plan required
Growth (₹2,499/mo) or above
Self-serve limit
Up to 3 locations on Growth, unlimited on Pro
More than 3
Upgrade to Pro, or see Multi-branch for a custom quote
Setup time
About 2 minutes per branch
On Trial or Starter, adding a second location is still possible to try — you'll see a message that your plan's location limit has been reached before it lets you save it. Upgrade to Growth from Settings to raise the limit to 3, or Pro for unlimited locations.

Adding a branch

  1. Open Queue / Branch Management

In your dashboard, go to the Settings tab and find the Queue / Branch Management card.

  2. Click Add Queue

This opens a small form for the new location's name and address.

  3. Name it and add the address

Use something your team will recognize at a glance — "MG Road" or "Branch 2", not just "Queue 2". The address is optional but shows up on the head-office view below, so worth filling in once you have more than one branch.

  4. Click Create

The new branch is live immediately — it has its own token series, its own counters, and its own entry in the rollup view described next. Existing customers and any branch you already had are completely unaffected.

The head-office view

Once you have more than one active location, an All Locations card appears automatically near the top of Settings — nothing to turn on. For each branch it shows how many customers are waiting right now and how many have been completed today, with a View button to switch straight into that branch's queue. You don't need to call a branch or log into a separate account to know how busy it is.

How customers reach the right branch

This is handled automatically once a tenant has more than one active location — there's nothing to configure. When a customer messages your WhatsApp number to join today's queue, they're shown the live wait at every branch and pick one themselves:

📍 Live wait across every Sunrise Diagnostics branch, right now:
MG Road: 18 min wait
Whitefield: no wait right now

customer taps Whitefield

✅ Token W22, Whitefield branch
Current wait: 2 minutes.
This compares live wait time across branches, not GPS distance — ZiroWait doesn't ask for or use a customer's location to pick a branch. If a customer already knows which branch they want, they can still say its name directly and skip the comparison.
A single-location business never sees this — the comparison only appears once a tenant actually has more than one active branch, so nothing changes for the vast majority of businesses on ZiroWait today.

Assigning staff to a branch

In Settings → Team, the Add Staff (and Edit Staff) form shows a location dropdown once you have more than one branch, defaulting to All locations. Pick a specific branch to set that as the staff member's home location — it drives what they see by default when they log in. It's a convenience, not a lock: Owner and Manager roles can still see every branch regardless of their own home location, and a Staff-role account isn't blocked from other branches by this setting in this release.

Questions

Does each branch need its own WhatsApp number?

No. All branches currently route through the one shared or connected number your business already uses — the branch comparison above is what sorts customers to the right one. Dedicated per-branch numbers aren't available yet.

Can I remove a location?

Yes — delete it from the same Queue / Branch Management card (Owner role only). This is permanent and can't be undone, so it's worth double-checking there's no one still waiting there first.

What happens to a branch with nobody waiting?

It still shows up in the comparison and the rollup view with a confident "no wait right now" — customers aren't discouraged from picking an empty branch just because the system hasn't seen recent activity there.

Can our existing systems talk to ZiroWait?

Yes, through the developer API — each location is its own queue resource, so an existing hospital, bank, or retail system can read and act on a specific branch directly.
